Bauchi Finance Commissioner charges BIRS board members on more revenue generation

Bauchi State Commissioner, Ministry of Finance and Economic Planning Doctor Yakubu Adamu has inaugurated new Board Members of the Bauchi State Internal Revenue Service.
Inaugurating the board members, Doctor Yakubu Adamu, explained that the people were carefully selected by the state governor Bala Mohammed based on merit for effective service delivery in the board.
He enjoined them to use there expertise and wealth of experience to accrue more revenue to the state.
The Commissioner reiterated his commitment to complement government effort by initiating programmes that would boost the socio economic development of the state.
Also speaking the Chairman of the board Alhaji Mu’azu Usman recalled that in twenty nineteen, the state internally generated revenue is six point five billion naira, adding that with the coming of the present administration, thirty billion naira was generated to the state government.
He called for working synergy among the members, towards yielding positive result in their assigned responsibilities.
Alhaji Mu’azu Usman noted that the staff of the board have participated in several workshops, seminars, and training on Revenue generation at the federal level and has contributed positively to improve the services of the board.
The Chairman promised the commissioner of their commitment to justify the confidence reposed on them.
