Bauchi state govt announces plan to distribute Ramadan palliative to vulnerable groups.

Governor Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed says arrangements have been concluded for the commencement of distribution of Ramadan palliative to vulnerable groups to cushion hunger and hardship in the state.

The governor announced this when he hosted stakeholders of People’s Democratic Party from 10 Local Government areas of the state for a Ramadan breakfast at the Sultan Sa’ad Hajj Camp, Bauchi.

Governor Bala Mohammed said his administration is aware of the current economic hardship bedeviling the citizens, hence the need to distribute another phase of palliative.

He appreciated the support of residents of the state to his administration despite some challenges and called on them to exercise more patience, noting that the administration of President Bola Tinubu, was committed to implementing measures to stabilize prices of food and commodity, encourage economic growth, and promote the prosperity as well as the well-being of citizens.

According to the Governor, the distribution committee will be headed by the chief of staff Government house Bauchi Dr. Aminu Gamawa with other members of the state executive council and caretaker chairmen as members and coordinators.
