GOVERNOR BALA: Bauchi ready for oil exploration.

Governor Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed has assured his readiness for the commencement of crude oil drilling and refining at the already confirmed Kolmani integrated site in Alkaleri local government area of the state.
In addition, the Governor explained that efforts are on top gear for the engagement of foreign investors from India who have already established a contract with the state government to build a refinery in the state.
The Governor who was speaking at the National Defense College Abuja for the participants of Regular course 32 of the college, told the gathering that an Oil and Gas Academy has been established to provide required Manpower to the Oil exploration as well as crude oil processing industries that will come to the state.
Responding to questions on Security situation in Bauchi State, Governor Bala Mohammed called for the constitution of a Security and peace council which will include retired Military and police officers to be saddled with the responsibility of advising the government on security architecture of the Nation.
He explained that his administration has created a Ministry for internal security which works in synergy with all the National and Local security outfits to safeguard the state, and affirmed that the initiative is yielding a fabulous outcome.
On Agricultural opportunities in the state, Governor Bala Mohammed stated that Bauchi State is among the major states that produces seasesame seeds which has a major demand in Middle east countries but poor approach has hindered the state’s potential.
He added that his administration is trying very hard to rejuvenate the agricultural export sector using the Abubakar Tafawa Balewa international Airport and certification have been secured for that regard.
In a remark, The Commandant National Defense College Abuja Rear Admiral Olumuyiwa Morakinyo on behalf of the college and the participants of course 32 extended their appreciation to the Governor of Bauchi state for his contributions to the development and progress of the college.
