1300 women groups in Bauchi benefits from over eighty five million naira business grant.

The Wife of the Nigerian President, Oluremi Tinubu in collaboration with the office of Bauchi State First Lady Dr. Aisha Mohammed have distributed over eighty five million naira to one thousand, three hundred women and Various Groups in the state.
At the distribution exercise held at the Government House Bauchi, the state first lady Dr Aisha Bala Muhammad said the donation is from the office of the First lady of the Federal Republic of Nigeria to assist petty traders to boost their businesses.
She added that, this is not a first time the Renewed hope initiative under the office of the First lady initiative supported people in the state.
She also said Senetor Oluremi Tinubu had assisted one thousand beneficiaries in addition to three hundred from her office been the North East zonal coordinator of the programme.
Dr Aisha Bala Mohammed called on the Beneficiaries to use the money in a good way.
In her welcome address, the Bauchi state commissioner of Women Affairs and Child Development Hajiya Zainab Baban Takko appreciated the Wife of the President and the state First lad for the gesture which she said has assisted women.
Hajiya Zainab Baban Takko said the State first lady Aisha Bala has earmarked so many empowerment programmes in collaboration with the Ministry to empower women in the state and she called on the beneficiaries to utilize the money given to them.
In his goodwill message, the chairman Bauchi local government Muhmood Baba Ma’aji thanked the first lady of the federation and the state first lady for the donation which is inline with the Kauran Bauchi’s Empowerment programme for assisting people across the state.
In their separate remarks, PDP women leader represented by the Zonal coordinator Hajiya Hadiza Maman P.A and APC women leader represented by the Zonal coordinator Madam Jamima commended the state first lady for carry every body a long for the growth and development of the state.
In a vote of thanks, the state Ameerah FOMWAN Hajiya Habibah Sa’ad Usman and chairperson of women Christian Association CAN Mrs. Jamima Jauro appreciated the effort of the first lady for assisting the less privileged in the society and advised the beneficiaries to use the assistance in a good way.
